Sales Representative | Sentinels
The financial system is facing serious challenges. Banks and payment service providers are struggling to meet the requirements of regulators, and current Know Your Customer & Anti-Money Laundering solutions are falling short of needs. At the root of financial crime are felonies involving drugs, human trafficking and terrorism.
But there’s hope! AI and machine learning offer the promise to effectively catch criminals. The Sentinels team at Slimmer AI is building cutting-edge AI software products to help financial institutions meet pressing regulatory requirements, reduce false positives, maximize their customer experience, and fight financial crime.
Over the past year, we’ve achieved incredible success with our anti-money laundering software Sentinels. With tons of great press, a super competitive product, incredible launching clients, and amazing industry partners, we’re now ready to scale up our commercial efforts. And we need a motivated and effective Business Development Manager to extend our client base further!
• Deep knowledge about the market, the people we serve, and their challenges
• Build trusted relationships and networks – both internal and external
• Create the new business pipeline by generating, qualifying and nurturing opportunities (Pipedrive)
• Quota attainment by signing new clients in the payments, banking and other fintech markets.
• Help us build our scalable sales approach as we grow
• In partnership with the commercial team, refine our GTM strategy through data-driven iteration
• Provide structured feedback to the Product team for roadmap development
• Coach new hires and share knowledge about past sales experience
Skills and Experience
• New sales (“hunter”) / Business Development manager, with 3 – 5 year hands-on selling experience.
• Proven track record of sales pipeline development, with quantifiable metrics (i.e. quota attainment, average deal size, growth targets yoy)
• Experience in medium-to-high value complex/solution sales, such as selling SaaS (b2b); bonus points for products with AI / risk & compliance!
• FinTech industry knowledge a big plus
• Strong communication skills + English fluency. Team player and highly collaborative; bonus points if you have any experience working with engineers!
• Based in Europe and have a EU work permit
• Customer obsessed, and endlessly curious (you’ve got what it takes to understand complex AI products)
• Flexible, can handle a certain amount of ambiguity, and take advantage of this to sell
• Willingness to travel (20%, to customers or across Slimmer AI office locations)
