About the role

Slimmer AI builds AI startups from the ground up! You’ll be directly involved in the financial, strategic and operational aspects of our evolving venture studio – offering you unparalleled exposure and growth opportunity. This is the ideal role for an ambitious future entrepreneur, CFO, Strategist, COO, CEO – working next to Slimmer AI’s CEO, CFO, CPO, and working closely with our venture founders.

About you and what you'll do

You are a curious energetic, diligent, can-do attitude, high-potential person. You are someone who does not hesitate to roll up their sleeves and get involved. You are also incredibly detail oriented – as you’ll be responsible for areas that require high quality deliverables. You are able to move between strategic discussions (e.g. modelling a new investment opportunity) and administrative tasks (e.g. setting up and initially maintaining the financial management of a new venture). 

Every day will look different. Here's a high level overview of what you'll own:

• Supporting Slimmer AI leadership on special projects (e.g. corporate structure optimisations, investment strategy, resource allocation, forward looking financial planning)
• Administration and business partner for both our Ventures and Slimmer AI (e.g. processing of payments and receipts, processing of bank statements, cash flow forecasting, procurement, filing of tax returns)
• Support strategic steering and decision making through accurate tracking of resource allocation (e.g. through timesheets and subsidy resource allocation)
• Support in the preparation and analysis of monthly management reports and play an integral part in annual planning cycles
• Foster a great working environment between Slimmer AI teams and our ventures as “Head of house” at the Amsterdam office 

About your skills and expertise

Various backgrounds and experiences are welcome! Here's what a great candidate comes with:

• Critical thinking ability with agile mindset, ready to solve complex problems and build for the future
  
• Good numerical understanding allowing for precise and accurate work
  
• Proven ability to take initiative and roll up your sleeves, ability to quickly shift between details and the bigger picture
  
• Experience in the accounting, consulting or banking is a HUGE bonus – especially as you will be exposed to numerous startups and their early growth challenges
  
• Social and organised, ability to work independently while keeping stakeholders in the loop
  
• Early in your career (±3 years experience)
  
• Must have proficient written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English
  
• Hold at least a university degree, ideally a masters in a finance or business related field
