About the role

Your mission is to contribute to establishing the foundation for success for our workforce. With your sharp eyes and good spirit, you keep a spotless administration while you are dedicated towards creating a great experience (online and offline) for the Slimmer AI Team

As the People & Community Advisor you will work at the intersection of People and Operations Management, right at the heart of our organisation. Together with Team People, you help plan and execute strategic HR decisions and make sure all employees are feeling welcomed and valued from their first day. You are further responsible for a safe, functional, and inviting work environment and you contribute to organising community events and facilitate projects such as the transition to hybrid-native working.There is also plenty of room to bring in your own ideas and add projects that excite you!

Main responsibilities:

  • People Administration: Keep a well-maintained employee administration . Coordinate  stakeholders and further facilitate a great on- and off-boarding experience for our people.
  • Office Management : Create and maintain a safe and inviting office with all supplies necessary, in both Groningen and Amsterdam. Responsible for physical access rights and communication with suppliers.
  • Community ManagementMake employees feel recognised and valued  e.g., through the  sending of cards/presents, other tokens of appreciation. Facilitate regular team building activities. Support efforts of making the company hybrid-native.

The skills & experience you'll bring

  • This is an entry-level role; you will need enthusiasm and excitement to learn and the ability to adjust quickly to changing circumstances
  • Attention to detail is essential, you need to be reliable, responsible, and well-organised
  • Background in HR or hospitality is a plus, being people-focused is a must
  • Excellent communication skills: speaking and writing clearly in English, basic Dutch skills is a plus
  • Based in Groningen; travel (weekly/bi-weekly) to our Amsterdam office is expected under non-COVID circumstances
  • A curious and quick learner; looking for new and better ways; bring innovative ideas to the company; seek to understand other viewpoints
